This position has access to and knowledge of extremely sensitive, private and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest standard is required with zero tolerance. All the primary duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. JOB SUMMARY: Reports to the Clinical Director/Therapy Manager and Coordinators and works under the supervision of licensed rehabilitation clinicians. Extends care of Physical, Occupational and/or Speech Therapy staff as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Performs clerical functions and clinical functions. Actively participates in all aspects of the rehabilitation process as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Supports LEAN activities and adapts to changing environment to meet patient and department needs. Advocates for NHRMC, Rehabilitation Services, patients, and coworkers. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: Effectively demonstrates standards of performance (Ownership, Teamwork, Communication, and Compassion). Effectively demonstrates the principles of service and operational excellence that support achievement of all pillar goals (Service, People, Quality, Growth, and Finance). Assists with treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed therapy clinician. Performs clerical functions involving inventory control, audits, therapy schedule systems, ordering supplies or equipment, and other similar activities. Assists in the preparation, transfer, and/or transport of patients, equipment, and/or supplies. Adheres to NHRMC policies/procedures and standards established by CMS, Joint Commission, CARF, and/or other regulatory agencies. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment in office, storage, and treatment areas including performing assigned daily, weekly, or monthly tasks. Demonstrates accountability by participating in education, training, LEAN and quality improvement efforts, councils/workgroups, and/or advocacy efforts. . Performs other related duties as required. ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or GED. Higher education credits in a health science related field area preferred. Licensure / Certifications: BLS certification. Experience: None required. One year of working in a support role in a rehabilitation or health services field preferred.
