This position has access to and knowledge of extremely sensitive, private and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest standard is required with zero tolerance. All the primary duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. JOB SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Diagnostic Manager. Performs fluoroscopic, radiographic and portable procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 1. Performs quality radiographic procedures. 2. Prepares, instructs, schedules for examinations. 3. Monitors patients and reports change to appropriate personnel. 4. Documents exams by film identification, request completion, charging of exam and patient chargeable items. 5. Administers contrast media per established medication review protocols. 6. Maintains clean work area. 7. Mentors Radiographic students. 8. May perform moderate or waived point of care testing per CLIA guidelines. 9. Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence. 10. Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a two year degree in an approved radiology program or work experience recognized by the approved licensing agency 2. Licensure / Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, CNMT or ARDMS. Students are required to obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of date of hire. American Heart Association HS (Heart Saver) required. Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record. 3. Experience: One year experience in radiology field preferred.
