This position has access to and knowledge of extremely sensitive, private and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest standard is required with zero tolerance. All the primary duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. JOB SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Coordinator of Distribution /or other Department authorized control. The Distribution Center Clerk is responsible for the inventory management and replenishment of par closets. He/She is also responsible for the receipt, storage, issues and delivery of stock/non-stock items and equipment to all departments at NHRMC. He/She is responsible for the daily and bi-annual cycle counts, daily filing of documents, the maintenance and inventory management of assigned inventory locations of the warehouse to include documenting stock-outs, obsolete and labeling bin locations. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 1. Counts and replenish stocking areas managed by Materials Management. Manages stock medical inventory for departmental managed nursing supply areas. 2. Determines that appropriate inventory levels are maintained on all nursing units to eliminate stock-outs and ensures that patient care is not impacted. 3. Utilizes the MMIS to key orders, issue credits and perform other Materials 4. Management Inventory transactions. 5. Receives freight into the medical center accurately and work with Inventory Discrepancy Clerk when there are receipt discrepancies to ensure that discrepancies are corrected. After orders have been received, verifies them for accuracy and delivers the product to the appropriate location. 6. Maintains the assigned area of the warehouse to ensure that product is stored in the distribution center properly by ensuring that all bin locations are labeled properly with the appropriate labels/charge stickers. 7. Documents potential stock outs and identifies obsolete and expired products. 8. Delivers STAT and routine orders to customers within the specified time limit. Works at the Customer Service desk and perform the functions required. They include: over the counter sales, routing requisitions, patient charges of specialty beds and braces, process STAT requests, route phone calls and intercept and resolve customer complaints. 9. Cross-trained for all Distribution Center job related functions to include, all processes involved in receipts, issues, deliveries. 10. Physically performs full physical inventories. Works in conjunction with the Distribution Coordinator on all official inventories. 11. Processes all BCX orders properly and accurately. 12. Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence. 13. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. 14. Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Licensure / Certifications: N/A 3. Experience: 2 years experience in warehousing and/or a distribution type environment. 1-year experience in inventory management. 1year experience using an automated inventory control preferred. 1 year hands on experience with supply management and establishing par levels preferred. Knowledge and complete understanding of the procurement process. Experience with shipping, receiving and distribution functions required.
