All the primary duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center.
Works under the supervision of the Manager of Health Information Management, promptly performs quantitative analysis on electronic medical records, noting deficiencies and assigning them to the appropriate physician in Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) for completion. Expedites priority accounts to achieve an optimal accounts receivable goal. Reanalyzes medical records to determine that deficiencies have been completed, updating deficiency status in HPF.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Promptly performs quantitative analysis on electronic medical records, assigning deficiencies in HPF to be completed by physicians and other health care professionals.
Promptly performs reanalysis of medical records to ensure completion, and removes deficiency from HPF.
Assists physicians with record completion in a professional manner.
Completes productivity workbook daily.
Assists with basic care and maintenance of workstation equipment.
Maintains cooperative and harmonious relationships with professional staff.
Maintains cooperative and harmonious relationships within the department, coworkers, and other areas of contact.
Participates in the total quality management efforts of the department.
Fosters respect for patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality in all phases of work.
Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma required. Computer training required.
Licensure: Prefer RHIT.
Experience: One (1) year in Medical Record Department.
