  • Coordinates with referral sources as needed

  • Participates in referral development activities

  • Ensures daily census and inquiry/admission report in completed in a timely manner

  • Participates in pre-admission certification with third party payors

  • Conducts admission review activities

  • Establishes and maintains rapport with clinical staff to ensure adequate, accurate documentation of patient’s care

  • Coordinates and completes assessment/consultation or referral and provides tours

  • Reports results of shift activity

  • Be on call 24 hours a day, as scheduled

  • Provide training to new department employees

This position requires a thorough understanding of facility’s treatment program and philosophy. Working knowledge of various aspects of alcoholism and drug abuse. The individual must have an ability to coordinate and supervise the facility’s inquiry and admission process, demonstrate knowledge of substance abuse, and work with the prospective patients and families to promote admission into the facility. This is a moderately complex position requiring the individual to serve as a primary link between internal operations of the facility regarding inquiries and admissions and the external operations of marketing and public relations. This is an entry level position. Must have an outgoing personality.
