Shamrock Environmental Business Unit Manager in New Bern, North Carolina
Responsible for managing and overseeing all operational activities of the New Bern, NC Business Unit.
Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following Shamrock’s safety program, processes, policies and practices.
Develop and maintain customer relationships
Overall profit & loss responsibility for the New Bern, NC Business Unit.
Oversee all aspects of Business Unit which includes, but is not limited to, personnel, site walks/meetings, project scoping, project execution, project sourcing, negotiations with customers, vendors and subcontractors, customer service and satisfaction, invoicing and collections, etc.
Interview, hire and mentor all Business Unit employees
Actively participate in morning safety and operations meetings
Ensure that all Business Unit employees manage the appearance and maintenance of all assigned equipment/vehicles and communicate any needs/problems in a timely manner
Hold personnel accountable to company performance standards, policies and procedures.
Ensure all work performed is in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations.
Work closely with Sales Team to advance existing customer relations and develop new customers.
Review and approve proposals prior to submittal
Assist in ensuring projects are executed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations contract requirements and company policies and procedures
Support the company’s 7/24/365 Emergency Response Service.
Continuously provide employees initial and ongoing safety training per Shamrock and Customer’s required training schedule
Maintain the highest ethical and safety standards at all times
10+ years of experience in environmental services, industrial services and emergency response work is required.
5+ years of Profit and Loss experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of Equipment including: Vacuum Equipment, Tanker transportation vehicles, pumps and “yellow iron” is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Working knowledge of DOT compliance is required.
RCRA experience is preferred; 40 OSHA Training is required.
Leader with high Integrity, that is adaptable, organized and reliable.
Good written and oral communication skills with intermediate computer skills.
