Onslow Memorial Hospital Coding Supervisor in Jacksonville, North Carolina

Qualifications:

Credentialed college graduate (Associates and/or Bachelors) with completion of RHIT or RHIA preferred. A strong background of inpatient/OP/ED coding in a hospital setting using ICD10-CM and CPT-4, a must. Certification as a coding specialist or similar preferred.

Job Summary:

Supervises and coordinates activities of the coding analyst staff and ensures that inpatient and outpatient records are accurately and completely coded according to the guidelines. Communicates daily with Physician Coaches on campus and supports communication to all physicians for documentation needs.

Performance Criteria:

Responsible for supervising the Coding Analyst Staff, reducing the AR Cycle via DNFB productivity, working with physicians in Meditech EMR, ICD-10, queries, communication for completion of records timely. Works closely with the HIM Director concerning Audits, appeals, Compliance, PI, RAC, HAC, CDI, Report writing, data management, training, meetings and education of the staff.
